The Maelstrom, though not percieved as as much of a threat of chaos as the Eye of Terror, lies much closer to Terra its self and should not be discounted as a bastion of the forces of Chaos. Over 30 Chapters have their homeworlds located nearby on important lanes of traffic both toward and away from the Maelstrom as well as a rumored presence of activity from nearly every race encountered by man. |
